Reiki & Sound Healing

Vibrational clearing and Energy healing techniques and tools such as Reiki and the use of chakra crystals clear blockages in the energy field which can keep us fixated and in low vibration. When stagnant energy is cleared or moved your vibration raises, and you feel physically and emotionally better. Raising your vibration facilitates the healing process. Usui Reiki treatments developed in 1922 by Japanese Buddhist Mikao Usui using a technique commonly called “palm healing” or “hands-on-healing.” Reiki since has been adapted by various teachers of varying traditions. This practice transfers universal energy allowing for self-healing and a state of equilibrium. Toning (using the human voice), tuning forks, pitch pipes (other tonal instrumentation) are used in sound healing. These methodologies create relaxation but also have been documented to enhance your ability to release anger, fear, anxiety, jealousy, resentment, frustration, trauma, and many of the lower destructive emotions and stagnant energies. Sound healing has been scientifically studied. Namely by Mitchell L. Gayner, M.D., a leading oncologist and director of integrative medicine at the Strang-Cornell Cancer Prevention Center.

Laura is ordained and licensed in the State of Colorado to perform weddings, baptisms, and funerals as a non-denominational minister. She specializes in earth-centered religious ceremonies and traditional handfastings. Laura’s approach to rites of passage are sacred and personal and therefore she consults with clients to create a customized ceremony to meet individual needs. Laura specializes in same sex and gender fluid ceremonies and performs religious or secular services honoring both traditional and modern practices.

The purpose of this work is to regain a natural spiritual balance. As part of many spiritual traditions a physical extension of prayer is common. Aligning the energies of a situation into accord with one another. Hindsight reveals certain difficulties are necessary at times for fostering personal resilience.

Laura began conducting seances in 2003 when she was invited to lead a seance in the home of Stephanie Waters (Haunted Colorado Tours Author: “Haunted Manitou Springs” and “Colorado Legends and Lore”). Since that time she has led seances at conventions and privately. Notably she was a medium for The Colorado Paranormal Festival conducting group seances in Colorado Springs, Victor, Breckenridge, Central City, Pueblo, Cripple Creek and Manitou Springs. In her practice she has used many tools of mediumship: channeling, automatic writing, contact paper, etc. Working with paranormal ghost seeking groups and has often independently verified the findings of their instruments.

*The Historic Brown Hotel Breckenridge, Colorado: Laura channeled the spirit of a young woman from over a century ago inhabiting “The Brown.” Speaking through Laura she correctly named the location of her death, her injuries, and very specific details of the events of the night of her passing.
